We painted
a series of Elizabethan banners onto silk noil to
hang within the framework of the Globe theatre's
back wall. Noil isn't the easiest material to work
on but it was ideal for the Globe, (which is open
to the elements,) because of the way it moved if a
breeze caught it. Jonathan based the painted floor
designs on a knot garden motif.
